GC for my parents

I filed the form I-130 for my parents and got the recipt notice on Oct 22nd 2009. Their case is at the california service center. I however did not file the affidavit of support or the I-485 at the same time. My understanding was that thos are submitted later. We have not heard anything back from USCIS and the case status is "Initial Review". Can i file the affidavit of support and the form I-495 now? Or should i wait to hear back from them? My parents I-94 is stamped till beginning of March? Should i file for an extension for them since we have not heard back anything yet on the GC?

Now you need to wait until you get the receipt number.

If you have not received receipt number around the time visa expires, you should file for extension.

If you are talking about teh number that starts with WAC- YYYY ..then we did get that. Does this mean i should send the affidavit of support and I-485?

Did you get the actual receipt notice in the mail? If so, you can file the rest.
