I have a question about the I-130 application, my husband is sponsoring me, I live in the US already. My question is do I need to change my last name to his? I have continued using my maiden name because I did not have any other ID other than my passport with my maiden name. My husband is afraid we will have trouble establishing the bona fide marriage if I don't change my name, is this true?

Name change is not required. And it does not cause any problems in immigration.

The change of name form is separate, does not affect your immigration process. But if you make your husband happier changing your name, you better do it.
