  • spelling mistake in name of grand parents

Another question about spelling mistakes in names. This time it is grand parent's name. While filling out forms for my dad's immigration I see that his mom's name has been spelled two different ways on his birth certificate and his passport. One letter has been omitted in the name on passport. Really speaking both spelling can be used while writing a Hindi name in English. (kalavati v/s. kalavti).

My question is should I fill out the name as it is on birth certificate or as it is on passport?

17 views but no answer? I know this is not a very common thing.

Even if you didn't run this whats your take on this? What would YOU do?

Hello, my take on this is that you should use the document that has the correct spelling of your name, then you have to correct the documents that are not spelled correct so you will have the same name in every document, if not this might bring you problems in the future...
