Hi,
My parents have received their green card several years ago, I had my application with theirs but then turned 21 and aged-out. We are all canadians. Now I am 24 and looking to apply for my green card through family but have a few questions about the process. I now know that I could have applied and received my green card after theirs but the lawyers instead suggested that I proceed onto the F student visa instead.
1-Is my previous GC application passed due and therefore not re-openable.
2-Can I return to the USA(currently in canada) to submit my application and be rejoined with my family while the I-130 and I-485 are submitted and processed or do I have to live in canada until the GC is approved.
3-Will they simply issue me an I-94 at the border if I let them know that I am applying for green card thru my parents or do I need to research a specific dependent visa.
Thanks everyone.
