Current time taken for I-130 processing for spouse

Can anyone please tell me the current time taken for I-130 (from applying to getting GC) processing for spouse (who is living in India) of USC?

I applied for my wife on Sept.2007 and we arrived to the USA on Jul.09.2009.

2 years seems very long time.. will appreciate responses from others who have knowledge about the timeframe for I-130 processing (from applying to receiving GC)...
