Hi,
My brother had filed Green Card for me and my family members with f4 category. i see many dates on uscis site and confused or not clear on which one to follow for tracking purpose.
Final Action - I believe this is the date till visas will be issued
Filing Date - Not sure what this date is meant for.
Priority Date - is Priority Date in anyway related to Filing Date (My Priority Date is November 17, 2005)
Case Status - https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do - using this site after providing my receipt number, I received the below message
"Case Was Sent To The Department of State
On December 14, 2009, we sent your case, Receipt Number EAC YYYY YYYY X, to the Department of State for visa processing. You can find general information on Consular Processing by visiting our website at www.uscis.gov . The website will provide information on what to do next, who to contact, and how to inform us of any changes in your situation or address."
What is the importance of December 14, 2009?
I religiously follow the visa bulletin issued monthly and not able to find out which date to follow/understand except for the 1st date mentioned. Hence requesting on how to check the date in uscis monthly bulletin.
