  • Change of address forgetfullness

My family member has a greencard and we had moved two years in the past. It only occurred to me recently that we may have forgotten to change our address with USCIS.

Can anyone tell me how they will look on this? Should I just send in a new form? If the address is already changed will it cause a problem? Or are they understanding enough that we can just call and find out if the address was changed and take care of it if not?

    Thanks

    Change of address

USCIS is now a days looking very carefully on not filling AR-11. The fine is $200 and or 30 days imprisonment. This can also be grounds for deportation. But the USCIS has the power to waiver the mistake through the office of the attorney general, if the mistake was non willful negligence and the party rectified the mistake after coming to know about it. So go ahead and file a AR-11 as soon as possible
