  • Sister petitioning me as F4 or mother petitioning me as F2B? Plz help

Hi there! I'm new to this forum and having a question about which decision I should make so that the process time is faster..

    Here's the situation:
I'm currently an F1 student in the states and my sister became a USC in 2016. Last year, my sister petitioned my mom, who is gonna get her interview next week in our home country. My sister just filed i130 for me as F4 last month and I just found the waiting time is 13 years (correct me if I'm wrong).
So my question is whether we should withdraw the app that my sister filed and resubmit an application with my mom as a petitioner after she coming to the states? How long are the waiting times in each scenario?

    Thanks in advance!

The petition need not be withdrawn. You can have as many petitions filed on your behalf as you want. Petition filed by your mother would be faster than F4, but neither of them is going to be anytime soon.
Just an opinion; Not legal advice.

If you were born in any country other than Mexico, your mom's petition for you will be faster than your sister's petition for you, but you will have to remain unmarried to immigrate on your mom's petition. As mentioned before, you can have multiple petitions for you; they do not conflict.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
