FirstName shown as FNU in visa,Can I file Adjustment of Status without correcting it?

Greetings!! It will be of great help if someone can answer my below queries.
I am planning to apply Green Card for my parents who are already here in US from (Jan 2019). I have filled up all their forms on my own and was about to send the documents to the USCIS, then I noticed that, in my Dad's passport his name is shown like
Given name : xxx yyy zzz
Surname: (empty)
And in his US visa, the name is shown as
First Name: FNU (first name unknown)
Last Name: xxx yyy zzz
In Actual case his
First Name is zzz
Last Name is xxx yyy
He traveled to US 3 times with this visa and didn't faced any problem. I checked the Indian Embassy website and came to know that there is an option to change or spit his name( as first name and last name). Doesn't know how long is the processing time to change or spit the name, if I apply in Washington DC consulate? My concern is, my parents came to US in Jan 2019 and is almost 100 days passed their entry date. They are allowed to stay until July only (the 6 months period). I am not sure, when can I file the AOS petition for them, if the plan to apply after splitting the name in Indian Passport. Will this be a a problem when he apply for SSN or drivers license after getting the GC.
In short my questions are:
1. Can I file Adjustment of Status without splitting the name in the Indian passport, as the First name in US visitor visa is shown as FNU only, So will USCIS accept my application ?
2. How long will it take, if I apply for splitting name in Indian passport from Indian Consulate in Washington DC
3. Is it ok if I file the AOS in the 5th or 6th month of their permit time(if I go for change the name and update the i94, it may take more time)?
