Hi, I am a US citizen, and I submitted an I-864 Affidavit of Support for my husband. We got a letter back with a checklist, but I'm confused by the request. I don't make any US income, so we used my aunt as a joint sponsor. The checklist is for me, not for my aunt. They're asking me for proof of income (which I gave), as well as telling me that my income does not cover the poverty level requirement, and suggests a joint sponsor. Which we already have, as clearly stated on the cover letter and by the affidavit of support filled out by our joint sponsor, plus all her supporting documents. They didn't ask that they be sent to the NVC again, but just brought along to the interview, which they said they will schedule. I can send another proof of my income with my husband to the interview, but confused on the suggestion of a joint sponsor?! Is it possible to even call them to discuss it? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
