I'm a US citizen and I filed I-130 petition for my husband on January 22, 2019. Our processing center is the Vermont Service Center. I have two questions for people in a similar situation:
(1) I noticed that the I-130 processing time keeps getting longer - used to be 5.5 to 7.5 months last week and now it's 8 to 10 months. Is this generally true?
(2) The USCIS Processing Times page seems to indicate that the processing time of I-130 for a permanent resident filing for a spouse is shorter than for a US citizen filing for a spouse. This seems to be the case at the Vermont and Texas Service Centers. Does this make sense?
