  • Does the F2A being current effect me?

hey i am 20 years old i use to live in the USA for 12 years from ages 1-12 and moved outer states i currently live in europe. When i was 2 years old we applied for family based greencard because my uncle is a citizen. when i turned 12 we never fully completed the case and had to move back to my country due to family problems. My father recently moved back into the USA 2 years ago and got his greencard under I-485. Our lawyer filled out a I-824 for me and my mother.. Does the F2A being current effect us? if it does what can we do to take advantage of it.

No. You are not immigrating based on your father petitioning you or your mother. You and your mother are immigrating as your father's derivative beneficiaries, in his category (presumably F4).

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
