Problem visit visa and immigrant visa

Hello,
I have this problem with me, My wife's sister applied us for immigration visa about ten years back, last year we applied for visit visa and we got it and we came to US. Now the problem , in visa application we checked "NO" on "if some one has applied immigrant visa for you".(some one told us not to mention about immigrant visa sponsor ). Now my sister in law she received choice of agent form. Please some one help me with this issue. Bcs we lied in visit aplication now we can not get immigrant visa. Is this a big fault?

You should not have lied on the visitors visa application.
