Thoroughly confused by the post I-130 NVC process, please advice

Hi, I am a US citizen and I filed for a green card for my wife and step-daughter in India. I-130 got approved in Feb. Thanks for folks on this forum who helped me with questions!

After that, the process is very confusing for me. So far, NVC sent me the DS-3032 for both of them. My wife scanned, signed and sent them both and I have sent them to NVC promptly. I also immediately paid the AOS fees.

It has been two weeks now. I understand the next steps in the process are I-864, IV bill and the DS230 form, but I have received no communication from the NVC for two weeks. The online status for AOS payment is "PAID".

Am I supposed to wait for the next steps? Or am I supposed to just go ahead and file some forms? I was looking at the progress for some other folks with NVC and they seem to move pretty rapidly after sending their DS-3032.

Also, how can I tell if NVC accepted my DS-3032 forms?

I wish the whole process was clearer and simpler, but you guys are doing a great service here, clarifying things for people like me. Thanks in advance.

After your IV bill is PAID you can send the other docs like ds230..has to be signed by your wife
You can send your I864 now since your AOS is paid.

You can't take any action until you get authorization from NVC. Timings vary all the time for different people.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll just wait. Just a couple more questions:

1. I sent the DS-3032 forms to NVC more than two weeks ago. Is there any place where I can confirm that they received it and everything was OK? I had asked my wife in India to print, sign, scan and email it to me. I then printed it out and sent it by mail. I seem to have no way of knowing if NVC accepted the forms. My emails inquiries have gotten no response and the phone calls never go through.

2. The instructions says something about printing a cover sheet. Where can I find this cover sheet to print. My payment is in PAID status and I saved the receipt. Is that the cover sheet?

On the same page where your online status for AOS payment says "PAID" a little under there should be a link that says "print receipt" and right under "print cover page". Print the cover page and mail it along your I-864. That should be your next step.
As far as knowing if NVC received your DS-3032 forms I can't help you with that.
