  • What happens if I-130 petition approval papers destroyed

    Hi ,
My Dad came to USA in 2005 and i was over 21 yrs.so he filled my I-130 petition in 2006. It got approved in 2009 , but we were unable to receive documents ( coz our mailing address was changed) .
Then in 2012 my dad legally surrendered green card and took tourist B1 B2 visa.
    Everyone forgotten about my petition.
Now i came to USA in 2019 on tourist B1 B2 visa.can my case be revived or not.
USCIS gave me my receipt number.
Now my mom is also a American citizen

If your father is no longer a permanent resident, you are no longer eligible to immigrate on his petition. Your mother will have to petition you from scratch.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
