  • Greencard process time

Im from Mexico and been married for 4 years with an american citizen.
On 2016 we filled the i130 and i485 and pay the fees for this process. Months later we decided to come to live to mexico until i get my greencard and work permit.
This has take too much time, just two months ago she flew to Georgia where we lived and immigration asked my wife a lot of documents (our kids birth certificates, photos, proof that im living in mexico, etc)

one month ago i get this email:

USCIS has approved your I-130 petition and it has been submitted to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC) for further processing of your pending Visa.

Does anyone knows what we can expect? Whats the next steep? and any estimate of time to complete all the process?
I think its too much 3 years just to get the i130 approved.

Thanks for all your coments and help.

You have to fill in DS 260, submit civil and financial documents to NVC based on your VISA category. I would suggest that you read through the process carefully https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...-approved.html and if you are not able to follow this I would suggest you hire an attorney/agent if you are not comfortable with doing this on your own.
Timelines are based on priority dates as mentioned in the link above please see for your self which is applicable.
