Hello

I am a US Citizen applying for a green card for my mother. She is 76 y old (born in 1933) and does not have a birth certificate. Reading the regulations on the USCIS site, it mentions that an affidavit can be used provided it is signed by someone who witnessed the event. In her case that is almost impossible. What other options do I have – her passport etc?

u can get a non availability of birth certificate from your local municipal authorities.
