My husband became a US citizen and promptly completed I-130 for his brother. I know the wait times are long. But I am wondering two things:
1) Why is our case being processed in the California service center? We live in NJ and from what I understand, we fall under the Vermont service center's jurisdiction? (I ask because Vermont's case processing times are shorter)
2) Has anyone else noticed that a few weeks ago, California's processing times for this type of green card were significantly shorter than they are now? It kind of got our hopes up, now its back to being years and years. Anyone else notice that a few weeks ago it was really quick? Grrrr.
