Immigrant visa interview in Mumbai while residing in bangalore

I have applied for my wife's GC through NVC for consular processing, they sent the file to BMB (mumbai consulate) with appointment date and time.. she currently resides in banaglore..we are originally from mumbai and when the app was filed 5 years ago, i probably mentioned mumbai consulate.

Can she still go ahead with the interview appt or we will need to ask mumbai consulate to transfer and wait to get another appointment date..Dont want to be ain a situation where she goes for the interview and sent to chennai for new appointment..do i need to contact NVC/consulate//HELP.Thanks for your help

Do you know if they will let her interview in mumbai consulate or petition needs to be transferred to channai ? Is there a set rule that you cant interview in mumbai if you live in bangalore..When i applied for green card, we were in US with no connection to bangalore so i put the consulate as Mumbai is what i am thinking or it might have been based on my old Indian passport which had mumbai address.
