    Is a B2 extension required if I have decided to apply for my Mom’s green card?

    My mom has been traveling to the US every 6 months for the past 9 years on a B2 visa.
    She is 5 months into her stay and I want to apply for her GC from here so she does not have to depend on extended family back in India.

    Do do I have to apply for a B2 extension along with I130 and 1485?
