When should I expect appointment letter from US consulate?

Hello,

I'm US citizen and I've filled I-130 and I-485 for my mom-dad. Recently (November 1), I received an email from USCIS as below for my dad's application:

"The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas.

NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MUMBAI (BOMBAY), IND to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner and attorney (if applicable)."

My questions are:

1) I receive above notice only for my dad's application. Should I expect separate email from USCIS for my mom's application?

2) Usually I long will it take to receive visa interview letter form US Consulate(Mumbai) once above confirmation received?

3) Currently, does anyone know how many days will you get for interview once you received interview letter from US consulate(Mumbai)?

1. You should be getting one for both. Usually the interview is together for all applications you've made together.
2. It really depends on the backlog of the embassy. Since there's only the Mumbai consulate working on immigrant visas, the workloads gone high. You can check the typical time for interview by checking the consulate's website.
3. Once they issue an interview, you will generally get at least 2 weeks notice. Usually it's about 1 month.
