  • questions on form I-130

Hi, I am applying to sponsor my parents. I submitted the form I-130 last year and never got a response, not even a receipt number. My credit card was never charged. I called and they told me my application was rejected at the first step and a notice should have been sent while ago even though I got nothing. Anyways, I am submitting a new application now. Questions:

1- do I answer the question "have you ever previously filed a petition .... etc" with Yes or No?

2- what passport info I have to provide for my parents? the current unexpired one or the one they used last to visit the US (expired). They don't currently live in the US..

    Thank you.

1 - No, they never accepted it and therefore, technically, it was never petitioned. So, this point forward, you never sent a petition to begin with.
2 - List their current unexpired passport information. You don't to match the passport of their last entry.
    --Good luck--
Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.
