Hi my sister is US citizen and we are considering the family based GC....from the moment the petition is presented more or less, how much time does it take to obtain the GC....or the odds are same of wining the loto?
Is it a good idea to hire a lawyer or the process is the same if we handle it?

With a lawyer handling things only you become lighter in your bank account but that will not speed up things. All information on how to fill forms and all supporting documents are on this website. If your case is simple and not complicated just DIY it.
