We took colored prints of photos that we will be sending as proof of bona-fide marriage. I am thinking do we need to take photo prints on photo papers or are colored prints okay?

Yes, colored photos are recommended. The requirement is to have clear photos. Making it nice, clear, legible, and being able to identify yourselves in the photos is important.--Good luck--
Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.

When I supplied photos, as part of my evidence of bona-fide marriage, I printed mine (in color) on white paper. There were two pictures per 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. There were no issues with my photos.
Plus, having them on paper (printed on a good printer), allowed me to print above the photo, who was in the photo with me, and where/when it was taken.Sept 6, 2014: Married
