Hello
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced the same situation.
We filed for marriage based adjustment of status in August 2018. Sometime in July 2019 the status has been changed to "On July xx, 2019, we scheduled an interview for your Form I-485".
We received an interview notice for September 2019. We went to the interview as scheduled, however, the USCIS officer that was supposed to administer the interview told us that our application has not arrived at the local office and she cannot hold the interview. She sent us home without any further instructions.
In the meantime, 5 months later, the latest status on USCIS website shows the same message: "On July xx, 2019, we scheduled an interview for your Form I-485".
The application is still not outside of normal processing times but I'm confused on what's going on and if there is anything that I can do.
I called USCIS and they couldn't tell me much other than to wait.
I'm also concerned about the medical exam. We filled out the medical forms just before the interview so they won't expire but it looks like we might have to do them again...
Anybody else experienced anything similar? Any ideas what to do?
Thanks
john
