Congrats. Applying for my parents' greencards. Just got the interview letter. Could you please give some details about the interview process? Any document to prepare for the interviews? Thanks in advance.

        Congratulations.

Were you allowed inside with them?

What kind of questions were asked?

yes, I had to be with them. And the officer asked my Name, DOB and my work place other than that i was silent the whole time. The whole process was very easy going.

I carried whole bunch of documents but the officer didn't ask anything. Make sure you carry your US passport and naturalization certificate with you.
The officer went over the form I 485 with my parents and asked yes or No questions.
Asked them if the childrens listed are biological or not
Asked if they have been separated or divorced since they got married.

This was all and he stated "please be patience and remain seated i will approve both" Everything was done in half an hour.

If your parents are not fluent in english make sure you arrange interpretor who is not related with you.

            Good luck

              congrats!
Is it a rule that the interpreter cannot be related? Also, in the 485 form, it asks if they could understand English and filled out the form on their own or they used an interpreter? Does that make a difference when they allow an interpreter? How did u fill that out?

Congrats on getting the green card for your parents. Could you please explain in details the whole procedure. What forms are to be filed when applying other than I130..........and how do you proceed to apply for the 485.

                Thanks

Thanks for the responce. So what is "Relationship certificate of family"........how do I get that. Also for the medical my parents do not have any immunization record from India.........is that OK, how does this part work.
Why do we do forms G-325, I-131, I-636.

                      Thanks,
