let's pray that it won't take that long.. let's wait for the release of new visa numbers which usually happens during the start of the new fiscal year which is oct.1.. i hope the VB would be current by then..

After analyzing the previous retrogressions, it may be predicted that by october PDs should move ahead to where they were last december. October is when the new fiscal year begins. So lets hope and pray that this does happen by october.
I haven't even received an approval yet. I think I have to wait till the 20th to call USCIS, since by the 20th of this month it will be 5 months.

it may more likely move forward, but it may or may not be current..that depends on the number of documentarily qualified cases..

                    • Marriage Based Green card for my wife

                      Hi All,

We just got married in US, my spouse is on F1 student visa, and I'm a LPR. I will apply F2a for her this February, 2011.

She will start her Optional Practical Training on March, 2011 after graduated from University. She will have a year of OPT, and so the OPT will be done by March of next year. After her OPT ends and in order for her to stay in US with me, we recommend that she applies for a new college in order to obtain a new student status. By the way, during that period, I have already filed I-130 for her, she will have F2a application on waiting period for the PD.

So my question is "Can she still get enroll for college or apply for a new I-20 next year after i file I-130?"

The reason I ask is because on item 11 (student certification) of the I-20, It asks for the student to affirm that she seeks to remain in US temporarily.

As long as your income meets poverty guidelines you only fill I-864.

                              Good luck.

I would suggest because of retrogression you should go ahead and give the $88 fee. It is just matter of $88 so go ahead.

                                Good luck.
