  • Question about marriage contract

    Hi everyone,
So I have a somewhat un usual question. I’m a citizen and remarried a foreigner abroad after divorcing my exwife in the US. On my new marriage contract, it states that I wasn’t previously married (her family wouldn’t approve if they had known).

Will this be an issue for processing my wife’s green card? I have the final divorce decree so I’m not trying to hide it from USCIS.

    thanks,
    John

What do you mean by "marriage contract" ? and who issued it ?

The equivalent of a US marriage license. The government of the foreign country issued it.

Did you tell the foreign government that you were never married ? or does this country only allow first marriages (no remarrying after divorce or spouse's death) ?
