Entering US on visitor's visa with approved I-130

I applied for my father's Greencard (consular processing) in February 2020 and received approval notice in May 2020. He lives in India and needs to visit the USA for a few weeks due to a family emergency. He has a 10-year tourist visa. Can anyone share experiences at US immigration in this situation?
