Hi All,
We are in the process of filling out the I-864. I am the beneficiary and my wife is the petitioner. A few questions I have as follows:-
I am in London, UK.
1.) Owing to a shortfall in the earnings and assets of my wife, I want to put down my assets to fill the shortfall. I have a house and I shall be putting the value minus the mortgage debt in Part 7 26 b. Would a valuation letter by an Estate agency suffice?
2.) I also have Gold but I am not sure if it is counted as an asset? If it is counted as an asset can I put this in Part 7 26 c?
3.) Also how can I have the value of gold appraised? I have the original receipts. Can I just calculate with the latest rate of gold and put a figure. OR do I need a jeweller do the appraisal?
4.) I have also read that British Pensions also count towards my assets. I am still 30 and have a long time to retire but can I put the amount that my pension as accumulated till date as an asset?
Thank you for taking the time to read. What other things apart from stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit can I show? Any ideas.
Thanks.
