Enter approximate date. I would use April 05, 2020.
Upload a signed letter that explains that you never got the greencard and therefore, are using the approximate date. Also attach a copy of the visa sticker. USCIS can pull up the information based on the IV Case# on that visa sticker.

Agree that sounds like a good approach especially if you are unable to find the exact date.
USC filed AOS for parents on B2. I am not a lawyer.

I filed for I-90 on 14th Aug, received I-797c in a few days after. I have my biometric in a few days from now. I have a question which is extremely important now and its taking away my mental peace.

Situation & Question - My current VISA stamping is active till 22nd Dec 2020 (Valid as temporary I-551 for 1 year). However, my green card will come in 8-10 months. What is the process of staying after 22nd Dec 2020? I checked online and saw "InfoPASS Appointment' could be a route but that's not applicable if you are inside United States. Can I legally stay here with the I-797C receipt?

What is it that I have to do to be able to work as well as stay in the US legally?

I’d think you can apply for and get another I-551 stamp.
You are all set as a permanent resident, partner , don’t worry!

I-551 expiration only matters for entering the country. Airlines won't let you board if it has expired.
Since you are already in the US, you do not need to do anything else to live here. You are already a permanent resident and that status does not expire.

If you are seeking employment, a valid I-551 stamp is required (along with an SSN card) by employers. You can call USCIS and try to get an infopass appointment.

Actually, an unrestricted SS card plus a driver's license is enough. An I-551 is not needed. Or, an I-551 by itself is enough.
