Birth Affidvit for Old Parents with no surviving family memeber

Hello,

My father is 83 years old and has no surviving siblings or uncles now. The closest to his age is my Uncle who is slightly younger and knows him for last 60+ years. Can he sign the Affidavit, what would you say in that type of affidavit? I am wondering if anybody has dealt with this kind of situation before.

Wondering if there is lawyears I can reach out to for specific questions.

State that fact in your cover letter, Use that affidavit from your uncle and also a self affidavit from your Dad. Also include all the secondary identifications you can provide which have his date of birth - for example, Passport, Government issued IDs (e.g. PAN, Driving License, Aadhar in case of India)
You could also include affidavits from any of his work colleagues or family friends if possible.

Aim for more, not less, in this case.

No, I didn’t since for India as per reciprocity schedule, birth certificates for births before 1970 are considered unavailable and non-availability doesn’t need to be proved.
