Hi,
One of my cousins was scheduled to travel to the US but one of his relatives passed away at the airport while on transit and he had to cancel his trip. He was on a valid immigrant visa.
What would be the process now to extend or re-issue his visa once visa processing resumes in 2021? Would he be called by the consulate guys or he will have to do something on his own?
Also I know that a lot of guys who have had their immigrant visas issued in 2019 also would not have been able to make the trip because of lockdowns. Would he have to wait in queue for all of the guys visas to be issued before him? I believe there is a cap which might get over very quickly in 2021.
