  • Got My GC Today and Blog about Self Filing

    Final Update:

Got my GC in the mail today. This group was super helpful and supportive during this entire process! Thanks!

Blog about Self Filing, Interview Tips & Resources:

We did not use a lawyer as my case was simple and straightforward. We did a lot of research before and during the AOS process. We made a blog about our AOS experience, how we prepared the documents, supporting information (includes cover letter templates), finding free legal aid, interview preparation, and online resources we found very helpful. We hope this blog helps anyone who is in the same boat as we were. Please feel free to share this with your friends, family, or other AOS forums as you see fit.

    Congratulations!

Thanks for sharing the timeline. You have been in multiple ways -- you got the Biometrics done just before COVID closure, saving at least 6 months from timeline. You also got I485 interview just after 2 years of marriage, hence getting 10 year card as opposed to conditional 2 year card, again saving money and hassle of applying again later.
