Filing Location for Form I-130

Hi,

Link below on ImmiHelp explains well the location for filing From I-130 but my situation is bit peculiar and I'm unable to find any clear instruction even after checking with USCIS and Embassy.

I'm a Green Card Holder staying in India for 2 years with Re-Entry Permit. I'm not sure where to file I-130 form for my spouse who I got married to recently.

Apparently, USCIS center at American Embassy, Delhi accepts I-130 Form only from US Citizens who are temporarily staying in India. There website seems to indicate that all PRs need to file directly to US but instructions on Form I-130 are little ambiguous.

Can somebody recommend (based on personal experience) where to file From I-130 in my case (Valid GC, staying in India for 2 years).

Where is your residence in the US and which Office does that come under? Also why don't you just call the consulate if in doubt.

Typically if you are overseas you have to file in the home country... I am not sure about your case.
