  • EAD Set to Expire. Still waiting for interview. HELP!

I am a US Citizen. My wife is Irish. We received her EAD in March 2020, and have regularly checked her status on the USCIS website, which says that they are in the process of scheduling our interview.

We recognize that there are extenuating circumstances given COVID, but it doesn't seem likely that they will schedule our interview before the EAD will expire in December 2020.

Do we need to file for a new EAD / extension ?

We just read that it costs $400 to obtain a new card. Unsure if that is required given delay at USCIS.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I think there is no fee for EAD renewal. I have a similar situation with you. I have a pending I-130 and I-485 through marriage and my EAD is due January 2021. I filed a EAD renewal application nearly a month ago but no notice of receipt yet.
