Need opinion on filing for GC

Hello-

Could you please provide some guidance for me.

• I am GC holder and married to indian citizen in India.
• My wife had never visited USA before.
• My wife is Pregnant .

Applying GC is expensive ,I am exploring two options below
1) Apply GC for my wife now and then apply for the baby after labor
2) Apply for GC to both wife and baby together after the delivery.

probably 1st option is expensive because of two petitions. My goal is to get my spouse and baby together to USA "at the same time". So, please suggest the best direction on this.

If you are not becoming a citizen soon, you only need one petition, for your wife. The child can immigrate as her derivative beneficiary.

Also, how did you get your green card? Did you marry before or after you got your GC? If you married before you got your GC, in a category which allows derivative beneficiaries, your wife can immigrate as your derivative beneficiary without you needing to petition her.
