  • I-130 - Beneficiary Information > Immigration Information doesn't make sense

I want my mother to get a Green Card based on my US citizenship. I am filling out "I-130 Petition for Alien Relative" online. In the form under tab "Beneficiary Information > Immigration Information" it asks for "What was the beneficiary's class of admission" (which is "the beneficiary's class of admission is the 3-digit code for the immigrant category under which they were granted their permanent resident status") This doesn't make sense: how can my mom already have permanent resident status if I haven't applied for it yet?
