  • Can I reapply for my parents GC? If They missed renewal due health reasons?

Hi, I would like to get some advise on below issue.
I am a US citizen, my parents were greencard holders but due to old age stopped coming to US every year to renew the GC. This past year my mother passed away, now my father does not have anyone to take care of him. I want to try and get my father here permenantly. What's the best way to do this? Can I refile an i130 for him, is there a way I can expedite the processing, or can anything be done to renew his old greencard. His last visit to US was 4 years back.

    your advise is much appreciated

    Option 1: SB-1 visa

Four years is a LONG time, and embassy may not give SB-1 visa. But this is something for which you may want to engage an attorney and seek their opinion. If Sb1 works, that would be the best option. For example, an attorney may be able to demonstrate that your parents intended to return, but your mother was very sick, and your father was taking care of her. With appropriate evidence, this may work.

If that does not work, you can file a new I-130.
