Consulate Processing (Delhi) Vs Adjustment of Status + Travel Question
Hello all -
I am collecting the paperwork to file a GC petition for my parents ( I am a naturalized US Citizen). I would appreciate if you could share your experiences / knowledge
My parents live in India and dont want to come here and wait for 6 months to get a GC.
1. How much time does it take to get a GC through consular processing Vs Adjustment of Status?
2. If they come here for the adjust of status route for GC, can they travel back while the I 130 / 485 are being processed?
3. How soon can they start working after the filing of 485 if they come here for the Adjustment of status route?
4. If we opt for consular processing, can they visit the US as visitors for say a month or so while the paperwork is being processed?
