Hello,
I am "sponsoring" parents per I-130. I have no income - all income is through spouse (we file tax return jointly). I-864 was filled out as such, and spouse filled out I-864A. Spouse, myself, and parents all reside in same household. Parents have no income - both are retired.
Part 2 in I-944 is filled out as such and accounts for all members of household.
For part 3, though, a few questions:
1.) Does every individual mentioned in part 2 need to be accounted for in part 3?
2.) Even if they have no income and do not file tax returns?
3.) Further, as my spouse and I file tax return jointly, if I need to add myself to part 3, then do I note the amount of income on joint tax return (which is the same as my spouses), or leave it as zero?
Additionally:
4.) If the total household income is more than 250% greater than federal poverty limit (it far exceeds 250%), then does there need to be an accounting for household assets and resources (page 6, question 9)? Parents do have assets.
5.) And how about applicants liabilities / debt (page 6, question 10)?
6.) And lastly, credit report / credit score (page 6 & 7, questions 11 and 12)?
Ultimately, parents have never received public aid of any kind, and they have no need nor desire to receive any sort of public aide in future.
Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated!
