Hello,
I am currently filling out the I-130 form for my sister and I am not sure how to answer a few questions in the form. My sister is currently living in the US on a J1 visa and she needs to return to Europe in half a year from now. Therefore, I am not sure how to fill out the following parts of the I-130 application:
Page 5: Item 11 asks for her current address which is in the US but she will be going back to Germany in half a year. Therefore, I am not sure what address to enter.
Item 13 requires to enter an address outside of the US. I have entered her current US address in item 11 and her address where she will be living when she returns to Europe. Alternative, I can also enter my address in item 12.
What should I fill out here and is it reasonable what I have entered?
Page 8: Item 58 again, indicates her address where I am not sure what to enter (US or European one) followed by item 61 which is asking about the adjustment of status at the USCIS office. I have entered the city and the state where she currently lives in the US but I strongly assume that it won't be the place where her status will be adjusted because these cases take longer than half a year and she will be back in Germany by then. In addition to that, I have entered the German Embassy in Item 62. My question here is again if the address I entered is the appropriate one (German or US) and if I can enter both places of status adjustment USCIS and Embassy or only one?
If there is anyone who was in a similar situation or has experience or even can give me a hint what the appropriate entries would be, I would fully appreciate it!????
