Would divorce effect Green Card

I have a friend who born in Trinidad. She has 2 children born in the uited
states and her huSband was also born in trinidad. They applied for green
cards as a family. She has hers already and her husband is still waiting or his green card. She wants to divorce him. Will a divorce affect her geen card in any way?

That depends upon on what basis everyone is getting green card. Please

As far as I know the basis is that my friend and her husband filed for their greens cards as a family. I'm not too sure what that means, but she is under the impression that if she files for divorce before her husband
gets his green card that her green card, which she received approximately 8 months ago, might be in jeopardy. They have 2 children that were born in this country. But she wants a divorce and she is afraid that by her filing for divorce before he receives his green card might threaten her green card.
