Parent's Green Card Processing - convert to Adjustment of Status (AOS)

I had submitted I-130 for parents living in India, chose consular processing at Mumbai. I-130 got approved, the case is now with NVC. I prefer to bring them to USA on their B1 visa which is valid till Feb 2022 and submit for I485 Adjustment of Status.

• Is it fine to convert to Adjustment of Status?
• Do I have to wait 3 months after they arrive or can I submit I-485 as soon as they are in USA?
• Is there any other form to file in addition to I-485?

Yes, you can convert to adjustment of status but it would take time (more than 6 months given how USCIS is backlogged) so your parents would require staying more than 180 days on B1 visa which would mean overstay. Consular processing is faster, easier, and cheaper. So would suggest that you stick to it

They should not enter the US on visitor visa with preconceived intent to file Adjustment of Status during that stay.
