  • Annulment & immigration

    Hello everyone !

If anyone has been through this process or has any any experience about this, I would love to hear your inputs. My situation is this: me and my husband (US citizen) got married 5 years ago in Florida. We both used to live and work outside US ( Middle East). When I met him he was going through a divorce process in the arabic courts in the country that we used to live. At some point after one hearing, he asked if he can get married and his lawyer told him yes so we went and get married. Now when we were getting ready to come to US we translated the divorce papers from arabic and we discovered that the divorce was not finalized when we got married so practically we are not legal married. We filled for a annulment and now we are getting ready to get legally married again. Do you think it will be any problem with the immigration in regards to this? We had no idea about what was going because everything was done in arabic and his lawyer told him after he says to his ex wife now " I divorce you" X3 in court he is free to do whatever he wants. I am very worried about immigration when it comes to the annulment. Thank you !
