  • I-130 approved; Priority Date: Current; Case Status: Card/Document Production

    Hi,
My husband is a Permanent Resident. We filed an I-130 last on April 22nd 2009.
My I-130 was approved in July 2nd week. Also, the Priority Date will be current in the month of September 2010.
Until now, my case status has been Post Decision Activity. We also started with the I-485 process.
But on Friday, my case status was changed to Card/Document Production.

I am a little confused here. Does this mean that I am getting a Green Card or EAD Card. But how can I get it when I haven't yet filed for I-485 and when I did not go for fingerprinting?

I'm not sure if the case status was changed by mistake and I hope not.

Please help me understand the situation here. Unfortunately, my attorney is on leave and I have no clue about the next steps.

Definately a mistake. Have you received any further communication from USCIS or NVC after you got your approval notice.

    Good luck.

Yes. After I-130 approval, we received the approval notice.
The status changed on Friday ie., August 13th. We are still waiting for some kind of letter/notice to arrive.

I would suggest that you wait untill your PD is current in the VB then call up USCIS customer service number.

        Good luck.

Thank You! I will have more patience until my PD becomes current and check with the USCIS.

I feel the same that it might be a mistake or a miracle
