Documents required from India

Hi,

My parents are coming next month on tourist visa and we are planning to apply Green cards for them and have following questions:
1) Do they still need to go back after 6 months or they can stay until we receive the decision on green card application?
2) Is it better to apply from India or does not matter?
3) If they can't go back if GC is in processing, what documents they should bring with them to make sure we can answer or submit all the queries for the process?, (only document i found on site is a)marriage certificate, b)birth certificate)

Better if they are here. You can file I-130 and I-485 at the same time. You have to prove that they are your parents.
