Becoming Citizen and making a request for family sponsored green card

We recently got green card in Nov 2020 and what's the minimum we have to wait to file for Citizenship. Can you also confirm if the family based sponsorship for members can happen only after we become citizens and not while being a permanent residents, correct?

Hi,
The basic rule is, you can apply for US Citizenship, If you lived in the US as a Permanent resident for at least five years.
but there is some exceptions for person who married US citizens, those who filed VAWA petition, Refugees, Asylums.
Regarding family based sponsorship, When you be on GC you can sponsor GC to your immediate relatives.
