  • PCC in Bombay

My parents live in Bombay and are unable to get a PCC from the local passport office. Does anyone has experience with this?

Will sending a letter explaining the situation be enough?

    Any information is appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Negative.

What is the reason for non-avaliability?

    Good luck.

The passport office does not know what exactly is needed and said any such documents would be issued by the police station.

As far as I am aware applicants from India need 2 PCC's. One issued by the Police Comissioner's office and another from the Passport office. Have you got the PCC issued by the police yet? if not start that process.

Are you in Mumbai? This will help me further answer your question.

        Good luck.

You need to fill this form out https:///us-visa-and-immigration-for...scPassport.pdf and take it to the Regional Passport Office.

If you live in mumbai you need to submit your application at Hall II , Bengal Chemical Bhavan, Prabhadevi Mumbai between 10 am to 1.30pm according to the website of the Mumbai Regional Passport Office.

Please read this thoroughly - /police-certificates-for-usa-immigrant-visa/ to determine how many PCC's you need.

          Good luck.

Thank you so much for your help. I live in the US, but my parents are in Mumbai. My dad had gone to the passport office few weeks ago and they did not seem to have any information about it. We will try again with the proper application format.

            Thanks again!
