Minimum income requirements for filing for green card for my parents

I am 21, a student, and would like to apply for a green card for my parents. I am a US Citizen by birth.

My parents had a green card several years ago, and gave it up about 15 years back. However, I would like to apply for it again.

I intern part time as a student, and my annual income does not exceed 45,000 USD per year. My parents have their own income abroad, and have assets. Can I go ahead and file for their green card now, or should I wait for my full time employment before I file? Also, is there any suggested minimum income requirements before I file?

Assuming your parents are outside the US, you would just file the I-130 petition now. That has nothing to do with your income. The I-864 Affidavit of Support would only be needed at a later stage.

Thanks. Parents are visiting the US now...still ok to file? Also, at the time of affidavit of support, are there minimum income requirements?

If they are applying from within the US, you guys would file I-130 and I-485 at the same time, and I-864 would need to be filed with I-485. For the I-864, your current household income (the current salary of your current job) needs to meet 125% of poverty level for your household size including the immigrant. If you are single and have no dependents, the household size would just be 2 (you and the immigrant), and the needed level for that is $21,775.
